We are excited that Dr. Kermit Jones is joining our next virtual happy hour call with our alumni in the Northern California regional network to share his experience about the Technology Trends in Healthcare. Dr. Kermit will discuss some of the trends in health technology that are disrupting healthcare and creating space for positive change. He will go into how healthcare providers, institutions, patients, and governments have responded to COVID and what this will mean for the future of medicine. He will also discuss the regulatory environment and how that can be used to lower hurdles to getting new devices and drugs on the market.

About the speaker:

Dr. Kermit Jones (“Dr. Kermit”) is an internal medicine physician, lawyer, and former White House Fellow. After obtaining his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Chemistry from Georgia Tech and Clark Atlanta University, he attended Medical and Law School at Duke University. After receiving his MD and JD, Kermit proudly and honorably served his country as a Navy casualty evacuation doctor with a Marine helicopter squadron out of Camp Pendleton, California. He served as a White House Fellow from 2012-2013 and afterward worked at an FDA regulatory law firm getting drugs and devices on the market. He currently practices internal medicine and advises on health policy in Northern California. He is a member of the California bar and speaks Hindi and Urdu.
